I have located a cat-0 jd-48 tiller for a 3-point hitch/rear pto equipped 400 series JD lawn and garden tractor. Am curious if this could be modified to function on a cat-1 compact utility tractor. Looking at the tiller it appears the biggest problem would be to change the pto connector. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards Mark

Not familiar with the 400 Cat-0, but be careful. It's not only shaft diameter and spline configuration. You also have to find out what are the RPM's and direction of spin it was built for. A JD dealer may be able to tell you. ....

From bestoldman the tiller you are looking at may be a 2000rpm drive shaft configuration. If it is adapting it would be expensive. ....
